Randy Moss Motorsports officially announced they have switched to Toyota. They are a two truck team now, signing Mike Skinner and Tayler Malsam to drive full-time in 2009.
No sponsors were announced, but Skinner does bring support from Toyota, and initiated the teams manufacturer switch.
Skinner will drive the No. 46 truck and Malsam will drive the No. 81 truck.
Skinner is the 1995 Truck champion, has 25 career wins, and still a fan favorite. Malsam is a rookie who has run around the Pacific Northwest running in dirt Sprint Car events. He also ran in ARCA last year, finishing ninth in points. In addition, he ran a handful of truck races last year.
"We are pleased to have both Tayler and Mike come on board at Randy Moss Motorsports for the 2009 season", said Randy Moss, the New England Patriots receiver. Moss is the co-owner of the team with David Dollar. "Tayler has shown a lot of promise in his performance on the track in 2008—help him to continue to grow in 2009." (scenedaily.com)
Skinner will be a great mentor for Malsam. His veteran presence will be a benefit for RMM, and sure he'll make a run for the title in 2009.
I like this deal, it's a win-win for Randy Moss Motorsports.
