Joe's Gonna Kill You: TNA Where It Sucks And Where It Doesn't So Much Suck

Joe Burgett Jan 30, 2009

In this installment of Joe's Gonna Kill You, I will be breaking down the good and bad of TNA.

The best thing that ever happened to TNA was the Main Event Mafia—the organization's version of WCW's New World Order.

I like the group, though I'm not a big fan of Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner.

In his heyday, he was one of the better big men in professional wrestling. But there is a time to quit wrestling and the grey-haired beast needs to go.

However, Nash is great on the mic. He would be great addition to TNA's announce team, following in the footsteps of Gorilla Monsoon, Jesse Ventura, and JBL.

To put it very loosely, Steiner "sucks" right now. Some people have said Steiner does not have any wrestling skills, but I wouldn't go that far.

I mean, he could pull of a belly-to-belly suplex, one submission, and a clothesline. That's all you need right?

Nope.

Booker T's microphone skills are atrocious. On Thursday, I got a bad headache after listening to him. That stupid voice was killing me, and oh yeah—his "King Booker" gimmick should have been left in WWE.

I mean come on, what is wrong with the old Booker T? Everyone loved the old Booker T.

However, this version needs needs to go.

I like the direction in which the organization is going with Sting, showing him as someone who is looking for respect. The veteran can still wrestle, although he does it less often than his WCW day.

Without a doubt, Kurt Angle represents what's good with TNA. Angle wrestles often, even at his current age He is still in good shape, and you could arguably call him the best in the business right now.

I like Angle's rivalry with Jeff Jarrett, and the two have had some great matches with each other.

I also enjoy the Front Line vs. Main Event Mafia storyline, as it highlights young talent in addition to a steady taste of veterans

The members of tag group Team 3D, Brother Ray and Brother Devon, have branched out as they attempt to win the TNA World Title.

However, I feel Samoa Joe should contend for the title. feel Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed should still be tag champions. I also do not know why TNA gave Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed the belts, but took it away shortly thereafter.

The tag team should get another shot at the titles at Against All Odds.

It also appears TNA wants to split up LAX, moving the wrestlers in the singles division. It's an OK idea, but they have great chemistry together.

He still has a title opportunity that I see him taking advantage on soon. Of course no word on that. LAX will be great as singles competitors, but the tag division is where they need to be right now.
