Devils Rule!

JerseySenior Analyst IJanuary 30, 2009

We knew that already.

I don't care that we relinquished a 2-0 lead. I don't care that Scott Clemmensen allowed three consecutive goals. I care that Patrik Elias tied the game at the end of the third, and that Jamie Langenbrunner put the game away in OT.

The Devils beat the team with the best record in the conference. The Devils are on a seven-game winning streak, currently longest in the league. The win put them ahead of Washington for second in the conference.

They proved they can beat a seriously good team. They struck gold against their former coach, Claude Julien. And perhaps best of all, they beat Boston. Goodness gracious, I do hate Boston. Even in hockey. Just the name of the city sends an uneasy shiver down my spine.
