Eli Manning on SNL: Skits We'd Love to See Giants' QB Perform
Eli Manning is set to host Saturday Night Live, and the odds are good that the experience will be an awkward one for viewers.
Eli doesn't appear to have the comedic chops that older brother Peyton displayed when he was on the show, and the NBC promos haven't been particularly funny.
But that doesn't mean there aren't a few ways the SNL crew could use Eli to hilarious ends, uncomfortable as his performance may be. I've got a few ways they might squeeze every last drop of funny from Mr. Manning.

Peyton References
I'm imagining a skit fairly close to the beginning of the show that centers around Eli in his dressing room, going over a few lines and getting ready for the show.
As he does, various members of the cast come in, originally wishing him luck and telling him he'll be just fine and to break a leg before appearing to leave the room.
But each hesitates, gingerly re-enters the room and asks Eli a question about his older brother. Maybe one asks if Peyton is finally healthy and ready to lead the Denver Broncos to the Super Bowl. Another asks Eli if it sucks always following in his brother's footsteps, since he's one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history and was hilarious on SNL.
Someone could note that they were so excited when they heard that "Peyton Manning's younger brother would be hosting the show." Someone else could ask if Eli could get Peyton to sign some memorabilia he has.
The cherry on the top could be a cast member asking Eli if he was absolutely positive Peyton couldn't show up to at least do a cameo with his brother, with Manning angrily responding "No, this is my chance in the limelight!"
Eli's long lived in his older brother's shadow, though he's obviously made a huge name for himself with two Super Bowl wins. Still, poking fun at the "Peyton's younger brother" label that has followed him in his career could be hilarious.
The Teenage Drama
I just want to see them do something with Eli playing the male protagonist role in a teenage drama parody because, well, Eli looks like a teenager himself.
That's the extent of this idea on my end. There's a reason I don't write for SNL.
The Celebration
With Tebowing becoming a national craze and Aaron Rodgers' championship belt celebrating now immortalized as the "Discount Double-Check," celebrations are in the national spotlight.
So why not have Eli Manning try out several terrible ideas for a touchdown celebration, all of which would be rejected by the the rest of the ensemble?
Sure, it wouldn't be all that different from the below SportsCenter commercial, except it would be an awkward Eli Manning trying out the worst celebrations possible.
Obviously, the celebrations would have to be sufficiently awful yet clever enough to garner laughs. The professionals would be better served figuring out what those celebrations would be.
I'm just the idea guy, people.
