Mickey Rourke Appearance at WrestleMania 25 Cancelled

Yes, you heard me correct. Mickey Rourke, who was set to face Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 25, has now backed out. Why, you ask?

A spokeswoman gave a message out to the public from Mickey Rourke, stating, "He won't be taking his role as a professional wrestler into a real-life ring after all."

This was followed by a woman named Paula Woods who, on Wednesday night, told the Associated Press that Rourke will not wrestle WWE veteran Chris Jericho at WrestleMania on April 25 in Houston.

She then wrote in an e-mail that the Oscar-nominated actor "will not be participating in WrestleMania. He is focusing entirely on his acting career."

At first I thought it was a horrible idea to have him even step foot in the ring, but now that it has been cancelled, it makes me wonder.

One question that can be asked now is, "Where does Jericho go from here?"

Maybe another celebrity?

Money in the Bank?

Triple threat with Orton and Cena for the WWE championship?

Let the speculating begin.
