Statistics Don't Lie, Donovan McNabb Has Had a Great Career

I know what every Eagles fan is thinking...you gotta be kidding me!  He has choked on every chance he gets and he can't win the big one, he's inconsistent, etc.  I just have one thing to say about that, look at his career stats.

Donovan was drafted as the second overall pick back in 1999.  He came from Syracuse University and was thoroughly welcomed to Philadelphia when he got booed because fans desired Ricky Williams.

McNabb has taken ridicule his entire career and what has he done with it?  Well why don't we look at his statistics over the past 10 seasons.

Almost 30,000 total passing yards, 194 passing touchdowns, 3,109 rushing yards and 26 rushing touchdowns.  Also, he leads the Eagles franchise with most wins, passing yards, completions, and touchdowns.  Not only are these stats extremely respectable, but take a look at what he has done for the Eagles franchise.

In his 10 year tenure with Philadelphia the man has accumulated four straight NFC East division championships (2001-2004). McNabb has also gotten to five NFC Championship games, and one Superbowl.

What people need to think about is how Donovan had only one go-to reciever once in his career and that was in 2004 with T.O. During that year the Eagles accumulated a 13-1 record at one point and were a dominant force in the NFL.  A person needs to consider that if McNabb had a strong reciever for a few more seasons would this guy not have a champoinship ring?

After looking at these statistics I don't know how you can say Donovan McNabb's career hasn't been good if not great.  I believe if McNabb can win his Superbowl ring this guy deserves to be in the Hall.
