WWE Extreme Rules 2012 Results: Sheamus Reaches New Level of Stardom in Win
The WWE world better like Sheamus…because he isn’t going anywhere.
After an 18-second win at WrestleMania XXVIII over Daniel Bryan, he was able to retain his World Heavyweight Championship belt by getting two pin falls over his nemesis at Extreme Rules.
In what was one of the most exciting matches of the night in Chicago, these two battered and bruised each other for much longer than 18 seconds. Sheamus was the first to land a pin fall after Bryan was disqualified after kicking Sheamus’ arm as he got tangled up in the ropes.

Sheamus banged up his shoulder a bit in Round 1, and Bryan took advantage, getting him into a Yes Lock. Sheamus ends up passing out and the second fall is awarded to Bryan.
After doctors check on the Irishman with Bryan feeling cocky by screaming “Yes!” while running around the ring, Sheamus recovers by landing a Brogue Kick to kick off Round 3. After lots of flying fists and kicks, Sheamus hits him with yet another Brogue Kick to put the nail in Bryan’s coffin.
It was a match for the ages and arguably the best we’ve seen in over a year.
Not only did the creative team show us they have a ton of faith in Sheamus, but also showed us exactly what he's capable of doing.
This guy can wrestle!
It wasn’t that Bryan lost the match, it was Sheamus being that good. He’s a star and has slowly worked his way up the ladder to deserve a feud against a top-notch star like CM Punk.
With Punk’s latest victory over Chris Jericho, he needs a new opponent and I think with the way Sheamus is currently trending, he's the best bet.
This is an exciting time to be a Sheamus fan and expect his bandwagon to fill up in a hurry.
Brogue Kick’s for everybody!
