Could Affliction Be Coming to CBS? (Fantasy?)
The world is a strange place and many unpredictable things are happening currently which are really shaking things up.
We have a new President who is trying to give Americans weary of the Bush regime, new hope for better times.
The world of finance is rapidly fluctuating.
The Fertitta brothers Casinos properties are in financial straits.
Elite XC supposedly died, yet a rumored resurrection lingers on the grapevine.
Dana White rejoiced with the "death" of EXC and predicted a similar fate for his organization's other rival Affliction.
And apparently Affliction has financial woes, but not nearly as disastrous as the Fertittas' Casinos going belly up.
Still, being the daydreamer that I am, I wonder if it is possible that salvation is at hand for at least one of the UFC's rivals?
With all the moneyed people flocking into the ring to share the spotlight with Fedor Emelianenko after his win over Andrei Arlovski, could the money be found to propose a television deal with Affliction to take over the Saturday night spot recently vacated by Elite XC which did get much better ratings than anyone had expected and proved that the public is interested in seeing MMA on prime time TV?
Wow! What if...?
In spite of what Dana White thinks there is an audience wanting to see a non UFC production.
If it is one not involving f-bombs with every other word, showcasing decent looking, well behaved gentlemen like Fedor and not promoting want to be boozing, horndogs—Wow!
I would surely watch it, how about the rest of you MMA fans?
