Derrick Rose Injury: Bulls Star out for Season with Torn ACL
The news for the Bulls, the NBA and fans of good basketball isn't good after Rose went down with a knee injury at the end of the Bulls' Game 1 victory on Saturday.
With ultimate confirmation, the Chicago Bulls official twitter account has confirmed, the Bulls' star has torn his ACL, and is out for the remainder of the playoffs.
It is a catastrophic blow to the Bulls' title hopes, and an overall bummer for the NBA.

The extent of the injury was still in doubt, despite this erroneous tweet from NBC Miami that was released prematurely:

BREAKING: Chicago Bulls PG Derrick Rose has torn ACL and MCL in left knee, will miss remainder of playoffs.
That would have been the worst possible scenario, all but killing the Bulls' title hopes.
NBC Miami has since backed off of their original report:
