SmackDown: Spoilers?

AkDJan 27, 2009

If you thought RAW was bad, then you haven't seen anything yet because SmackDown in two weeks won't be just as bad—but worse.

First of all, RAW has four out of six competitors in the lopsided No Way Out Elimination Chamber. Since Edge—the WWE champion—must defend his title. He will have to be in the match and Triple H, Big Show and Undertaker have all earned their spots. Because of this, there's only one spot open.

The Brian Kendrick, Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder, Chavo Guerrero, Vladimir Kozlov, MVP, Carlito, Primo Colon, Jesse, Scotty Goldman, R-truth, The Great Khali, Funaki, and Shelton Benjamin will all compete for the final Chamber spot in a battle royal. Can you guess the winner? I'll give you a hint—he's Russian and wants competition! He also happens to be the No Way Out poster boy too.

One of the very few decent parts is when Benjamin cuts a promo on MVP before his match. He calls him VPM, which stands for "very Peyton Manning" because he isn't good during crunch time. MVP ends up defeating Benjamin anyway. Michelle McCool beats Eve by submission and brainless Maria comes out to help Eve afterwards.

Carlito and his talentless brother Primo Colon tagged with R-Truth to take The Brain Kendrick, and Miz and Morrison. Miz, Morrison, and Kendrick win of course. Umaga returns! He defeats Funaki. Fans seem happy to have him back in action regularly.

Hurricane Helms cut a promo earlier about what Matt Hardy did to his brother Jeff at the Royal Rumble. He down talked Hardy calling him a jerk and saying that he never liked him. Matt Hardy comes to the ring. Do we get an explanation? No.

Instead of telling us why he cost Jeff the title and add some flavor to the show, he calls out Helms. Helms comes out and clashes with Hardy in the ring, and he gets dominated and destroyed.

I thought that Orton and Shane segment closing RAW was bad but this takes the cake. Triple H teamed with The Undertaker to take on Edge and the Big Show. The match was all right. Remember last year's tribute to the tribute to the troops? Big show turned on Jericho and Orton. This time around, he turned on Edge giving Undertaker and Triple H the win.

To sum it all up, expect SmackDown on Feb. 6th to be a sleep fest—very dull and boring. The few bright spots cannot shine through the upcoming disappointing edition of SmackDown. Lets hope that WWE will stop fooling around and give us some real jaw droppers soon.
