What to Watch For
Mr. Irrelevant. Even if you could care less about who your team takes with the 249th pick in the draft, it’s still exciting to see who the last guy chosen is during the event.
Like the last kid picked for a gym class pickup game, there are low expectations and a couple snickers for Mr. Irrelevant.
However, there have definitely been a few that have gone on to find success, including Ryan Succop and Jim Finn to name a few from the last couple of years.
Trades. The last few rounds are always filled with teams swapping incredible amounts of picks. Franchises act like these picks are shares on Wall Street and try to hoard them or ship them to willing bidders like hotcakes.
Expect a ton of wheeling and dealing during the last four rounds of the 2012 NFL draft.
