SEC Football Top 150 Players: No. 124, Reese Dismukes, Auburn C
The SEC Blog will be counting down the top 150 players in the SEC every day, concluding on August 30 at the start of the college football regular season.
No. 124: Reese Dismukes, No. 50, Center, Auburn
2011 Stats: Started all 13 games at center
Strengths
Dismukes came to Auburn last season as a true freshman and won the job as Auburn's starting center out of fall camp. He's an aggressive player who's quick off the ball and an established leader on Auburn's offensive line. He was named to the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) freshman All-American team and the coaches' All-SEC freshman team following the 2011 season.
Weaknesses
With new offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler coming in and installing more of a pro-style offense, Dismukes will have to get used to making snaps with the quarterback under center. According to the Opelika-Auburn News, he adjusted to the change this spring well, but completing the snap and pulling on running plays will still take time to adjust to in games.
2012 Prediction
Dismukes has taken on more of a leadership role this offseason, and that will be important as Auburn breaks in two or possibly three new starters on the offensive line. Dismukes will be counted on as the one leaders of the Auburn offense.
