Spoiler Alert: Matt Hardy To Jump Ship on Tonight's ECW

After Sundays Royal Rumble, we all assumed Matt Hardy would make the occasional trip to SmackDown to continue the story that was started after Matt attacked, his brother, Jeff Hardy with a chair shot to the head, costing him the WWE championship.

Well, I've just received word that, on tonight's ECW, Matt Hardy's request to be released from ECW to Teddy Long has been granted.

The Matt and Jeff Hardy storyline will not continue on tonight's ECW.

Matt Hardy is officially a part of the SmackDown roster. You can obviously assume this is to continue the feud between the two brothers on Friday night SmackDown.

This opens many many questions, indeed.

What's odd about this storyline, is that Jeff Hardy will be taking part in the SmackDown brands elimination chamber for Edges WWE title along with Kozlov, Triple H, Big Show, and The Undertaker. The question is: How will Matt be fit in?

I'm going to assume WWE will stall the story until after No Way Out and then announce their match for WrestleMania 25. Same goes for The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels feud. But, if Jeff is occupied with Matt, and The Undertaker supposed to be involved with Michaels, then where does that leave Edge?

The first thing that came to your mind was Triple H vs. Edge for the WWE title, but you forgot about the returning Christian.

I have an idea. Let's switch it up.

Edge vs. Christian. But then I think Christians first match should'nt be one on one with for a championship at the grandest stage of them all. Don't get me wrong it would be awesome, but I don't believe WWE can put that much trust in Christian.

So how about two grudge matches: Edge vs. Christian, and Matt vs. Jeff Hardy. But again, a question is asked: Who's holding the WWE title?

Triple H.

I see him winning the WWE championship in three weeks at No Way Out, but where does he go from there? All of the top contenders for the title are in grudge matches.

How about on Monday Night RAW?

Could we see Triple H going to RAW to help his wife, Stephanie, and staying permanently, possibly leaving the door open for Randy Orton vs. Triple H for the WWE title at WrestleMania 25?

But where does that leave Cena?

The WWE has done a great job at confusing the crap out of us all and are definitely keeping us guessing as to what will happen in the next two months.
