WWE News: Update on New Ring Gear for Brock Lesnar This Sunday at Extreme Rules
When Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring to do battle with John Cena in their Extreme Rules match Sunday in Chicago, there will be some fans in attendance at Extreme Rules thinking they’re watching Lesnar step back into the Octagon.
Recently, the WWE posted an image of the new ring gear by accident on the former WWE and UFC Champion’s profile page on WWE.com (link via wrestlingnewsworld.com), but immediately took it down so there will be a surprise at Extreme Rules.
Unlike any other superstar in the history of the WWE, Lesnar will be the first to have his actual sponsors listed on his trunks that he will wear to the ring due to the unusual nature of his new contract.

With the new ring gear, it will be a far cry from the traditional black boots and tights that we saw from Lesnar during his extremely successful run with the company some eight years ago.
Even though the new look for Lesnar is definitely unique for the WWE, the whole idea of the UFC-inspired trunks is a bad move by the company, as there’s a lot more focus on Lesnar’s career in MMA instead of pro wrestling.
While not trying to sound like one of the interviewers from the red carpet of an award show, do you like the new or the old ring gear look better for Brock Lesnar as he makes his return to the ring this Sunday?
