Zurich Classic of New Orleans: Leaderboard Updates, Highlights and More

Nicholas GossJun 6, 2018

The Zurich Classic at the beautiful TPC Louisiana will be the next stop on the PGA Tour schedule, and with 2012 Masters champion Bubba Watson looking to win another tournament at this course, it should be a fantastic tournament.

Update: Sunday, April 28 at 7:05 p.m. ET

It is fitting that it took Jason Dufner extra holes to earn his first PGA tour victory. He has come so close, only to be turned away late in past performances, it is fitting he pulled a late one out.

Round 3 Highlights

Jason Dufner put himself in excellent position to claim his first PGA victory by opening up a two-stroke lead. Dufner fired a 67 and sits at -17 for the tournament.

He is followed by Graham Delaet at -15, Ernie Els -14 and John Rollins -14.

Round 2 Highlights

Jason Dufner matched the low round for the tournament and fired a 65. That was good enough to push him to -12 for tournament and the solo lead.

First round co-leader, Ken Duke, continued his solid play, and was just one off the lead.

Round 1 Highlights

Cameron Tringale and Ken Duke set the pace for this tournament. They were the co-leaders with opening round 65s on the par 72 course. They were closely followed by a familiar name. The Big Easy, Ernie Els, was right behind them with a 66.

Watson won an event at TPC Louisiana in 2011, and it's a course he's very comfortable playing at.

Since the US Open is just a few weeks away, the players at this tournament will be able to test themselves against the challenges of the course at TPC Louisiana in preparation for the next major.

If you enjoy golf, this is one tournament you cannot afford to miss on the PGA Tour.
