RAW REWIND: Elimination Chamber Spots and McMahons' Fury

AkDJan 26, 2009

First off, nevermind Manu in the article picture. I like it so much I choose the picture.

AkD is back again with another article on what went down on the Jan. 26 edition of RAW. Orton appeared with Legacy and his attorney and lawyer. He claimed that main event Wrestlemania 25 was his legal right and he would sue WWE and cancel Wrestlemania.

He even went as far with his therapist claiming he had a mental disorder in which WWE ignored giving Orton another reason to sue. Orton then went on to state that Rhodes and DiBiease would walk out if Orton was fired and gave an apology...More like read a written statement and called it an apology.

Following that, Miz and Morrison retained their tag titles, like I expected. I don't believe Cryme Tyme are ready for a tag team title run right now. Then there were the Elimination chamber qualifying matches. Kofi Kingston versus Kane was the first one of the night.

The matchup seemed lackluster and I certainly wasn't interesting. Nevertheless, I assume Kane would win. I went to get a glass of water and upon my return Kingston had won the match! Kofi in the chamber!? Are you kidding me?

The second qualifying match included Rey Mysterio versus William Regal. I knew Rey would win hands down and about five minutes into the match, Rey connected with the 619 followed by a body splash of the win. This is going to be the best Chamber ever! (I'm being sarcastic.)

Melina and Kelly Kelly teamed up to face the team of Beth Phoenix and Jillian Hall. Santino did some funny commentary on a side note. Jillian was distracting the Ref and Rosa Mendes (Beth's biggest fan) came down and pulled Melina of the apron. Beth then hit her finisher on Kelly Kelly and won the match.

Later backstage, Beth tells Santino that they can keep Mendes as an intern. Another qualifying Chamber match followed in the form of CM Punk versus Chris Jericho. After a decent match, Punk got hit with the code breaker and Jericho advanced into the Chamber. Finally! Somebody worth watching.

In the finale, I watch my dream go down the drain. I wanted to see Stephanie align herself with Orton in what would have been a jaw dropper. Heads would have turned. However, it's WWE. Every time they heat up...They just ruin everything.

Stephanie didn't fire Orton as the whole locker room stood on the stage awaiting their fate (Orton had promised to cancel Wrestlemania if fired). Instead of the alliance, we got Shane McMahon who worked horribly by the way.

He looked half dead and attacked Legacy and destroyed Orton who just nearly escaped into the back when the scuffle ended up on the ramp. The locker room hurried to separate Rhodes and DiBiase from Shane O' Mac. Raw ended with Orton gone and Shane emotional, wanting to get his hands on Orton once more.
