UFC 94 Penn Vs. Pierre

Rob MolellaJan 26, 2009
With UFC 94 quickly approaching in the coming days, it's evident that both fighters have the will and skill to be victorious in an epic battle that will be talked about amongst mixed-martial arts fans forever.
With GSP dominating his last four opponents and BJ Penn solidifying himself as the No. 1 lightweight to ever enter the octagon its obvious this fight should be one of the greatest in UFC history.
With GSP coming off a huge victory over what was said to be one of the best welterweights in the world, unbeaten in eight straight fights the only person to do that in UFC history Jon Fitch and B.J. coming off a devastating victory over No. 1 contender Sean Sherk this fight should be another great fight like their first meeting although both fighters are far from what they were.

George St Pierre known as "GSP" has been known for his great wrestling skills which led him to multiple victories in his MMA journey.
But once known as just a strong wrestler he has sharpened his skills with some of the best, strengthening his standup skills and receiving his black belt in jiu-jitsu to become the great well rounded fighter that he is.
And on Jan. 31, he will face his biggest test yet, fighting the man he once beat, B.J. Penn.
Although their first match up had its questions its evident that BJ Penn is not the same fighter he was. Being known for his great jiu-jitsu and flexibility it was time he showed the world that not only did he have a great chin he could dish it out too! Dominating Jens Pulver on the ground and destroying Sean Sherk on the feet its evident BJ has developed into a true Mixed Martial Artist.
With both fighters easily ranking in the top-five pound-for-pound best fighters in the world, the winner of this fight will solidify himself as one of the best that ever lived.
Moving them up the ranks will only allow more competition to follow with B.J. looking at a future matchup with No. 1 contender Kenny Florian and George St. Pierre looking at a matchup with the highly skilled striker Thiago Alves their fights after this fight may be tougher then the job at hand.
For now all we can do is witness what will go down as one of the best matchups in UFC and Mixed Martial Arts history and one of the most highly anticipated rematch's ever!!!! Regardless of who wins or looses, both of these guys will go down as one of the greatest to ever step foot in the Octagon and get it on!!
