The collision occurred in the 16th minute of Tuesday's match. Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech punted the ball long toward Barcelona's area. Pique tracked the charging Drogba as Valdes came flying off his line.
The Barcelona keeper leaped into the air to punch the ball clear and smashed violently into Pique's head before also colliding with Drogba.

Despite going up 2-0 in the first half, Barcelona were not able to maintain their lead as the Blues netted just before the half and again late in the second period.
