Raw: Rumble Fallout, the Reprimanding of Randy Orton

AkDJan 26, 2009

Before I begin I would like to note that RVD's Rumble appearance was one time only. Even though I assumed it was a one-time deal because RVD is a hometown hero (Lives near by Battle Creek, MI) I wanted to believe he might just stay.

In other news...well not really news, Cena defeated JBL to retain the World Heavyweight championship. Sorry JBL, looks like you'll wont be returning to Wrestlemania 25 as the returning conquering champ.

Will there be repercussions for HBK's actions? Look for JBL tonight on RAW; it's going to take more than a loss to take him out of the title picture, let alone shut his mouth. Melina became the women's champion in an exciting match...Ok it wasn't exciting but it was better than the ECW championship match.

Beth will most likely be on path of destruction to reclaim her coveted women's championship. What would Santino say? "Well atta least you still hava the slammy" in his hilarious accent.

Or will the crazed Rosa Mendes appear once more to avenge her favorite wrestler's defeat? Miz and Morrison should be in action like usual, hopefully against Cryme Tyme, because I like the feud and they won a title shot on MLK day to boot. Chris Jericho seems to be the odd-man out. The superstar of the year doesn't look like he'll to a two-peat this time around.

With Raw in chaos, Jericho still seems to fade out of the spotlight. Or did he? Look for Jericho to pull an antic, anything to stay relevant on RAW. The real story here is Orton. See Orton's expression in the article picture? We could have that very same look in RAW's climax tonight.

The 2009 rumble winner is on his way to WM25! I think he forgot that he hmmm...punted WWE Chairman Vince McMahon! A win is a win nonetheless, but will he be denied his rightful passage to Houston, TX? The focus will definitely be on Orton tonight. T

his could be the trial of Orton. This could be his final night as a WWE superstar. Was Jericho right? One thing for certain is that many have not been excited for a RAW like this in years.

WWE has thrown some curveballs at us lately in the form of Orton/Vince punt, Hardy's heel turn, No Christian appearance, and so on.

I think we shouldn't always expect the expected. With that this RAW will be significant as it will set the tone for WM25. While the common thing to expect would be Orton getting fired, I believe we are in for another twist. As for Cena...Well as for anyone, forget watching your back and watch your head.

P.S. The Punt on McMahon has been added to Orton's Titantron video sort of relive that classic moment.
