Back off ladies, because Boston Red Sox star Kevin Youkilis is now officially taken, married to Julie Brady is a small private ceremony last week.

The Boston Herald reports the popular slugger married Julie Brady whose brother some of you may know. He happens to the be the starting quarterback of the New England Patriots, and goes by Tom Brady.

Yes, Youk married into football royalty, and promises to stay clear of big Patriots' games in the future as to keep the jinx well away from the postseason, according to the report.

Youkilis was beaming, and the usually private Sox player featured on WAAF with Greg Hill and talked a bit about the wedding.

It was definitely the greatest off day of my life. It was a lot of fun, good times. I know there has been some rough times with baseball, but — I don’t usually talk about this — but it’s something good and I wanted to share.

Youkilis took his privacy to another level as the marriage was witnessed only by immediate family and friends.

There were no teammates or extended family, but brother-in-law Tom Brady and his model wife Gisele Bundchen were lucky enough to make the cut.

Youk does promise to have a bigger party to celebrate his nuptials to his new bride. Now we have an idea of what Bobby Valentine might have been talking about when he wondered out loud if Youkilis was invested emotionally recently.

The Red Sox slugger is batting .174 on the season and has but a lone home run. However, the entire team is 5-10 to start the season.

Begging the question as to what is bothering the rest of this ballclub. If you wanted some good news Sox fans, here it is.

Now savor it.
