Pilar Sanders Arrested: Alleged Assault Latest Wild Chapter in Deion's Divorce

NFL legend Deion Sanders' divorce drama took another crazy turn on Monday when estranged wife Pilar was arrested for "assault family violence."

Pilar was arrested outside of Dallas on a misdemeanor charge of assault after allegedly attacking Deion with a friend in front of their children. 

Deion himself shined the spotlight on his family drama, tweeting live from the scene:

Pray for me and my kids now! They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She's going to jail n I'm pressing charges!

Deion also tweeted a photo of himself and his sons filing police reports, which has since been removed from his account. 

The live tweeting certainly shows a drastic difference from the kinds of celebrity family dramas we're used to seeing, where stars desperately attempt to evade paparazzi in order to maintain their privacy. No need for the paps here. 

According to TMZ.com, Pilar and a friend jumped Deion in his bedroom in an attack that was witnessed by two of Deion's sons.  

The arrest is just another unfortunate chapter of a divorce battle that has grown increasingly bitter since December. Pilar has accused Deion of cheating and even filed a $200 million lawsuit against him for libelous and slanderous statements. 

Newsone.com's Ruth Manuel-Logan reports that Pilar has charged Deion with being "unkind, immoral, corrupt, insensitive and abusing her and their three children physically." Pilar has also requested a judge to throw out their prenuptial agreement because she claims to have signed it under duress. 

TMZ.com reports that despite the bitter divorce battle, the couple is living together in Dallas. 

There is no indication as to whether anyone else had been arrested in the incident, according to ESPN.com. 

Hopefully, next time someone in his family gets arrested, Deion will keep it private instead of turning it into even more of a circus than it already is. If nothing else, there's no reason their kids should have to deal with the fact that their parents are inclined to act like children.
