Stephon Marbury’s frustration has reached a boiling point. The former point guard of the New York Knicks reached out to the NY Post Sunday and stated that the Knicks are refusing to come to terms on a buyout because they know he has a verbal agreement in place with the Celtics.

Marbury went on to say that “It’s got to be personal,” and if he was that much of a cancer as they said he was earlier this year, “wouldn’t you want me to go to another team?” Celtics officials cannot comment or confirm any remark Marbury makes regarding a contract offer due to potential tampering charges that the league offices could charge Boston with. In other news, moments before his team was run off the court in Boston, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban praised the Celtics' business moves off the court. Cuban, who spoke with the Boston Herald, said the trade for Kevin Garnett was great, even though Boston had to send Al Jefferson out in return.

Cuban then went on to speak about how both the Celtics and Lakers built around their existing superstars, which is something he has hinted at doing with Mavs' forward Dirk Nowitzki for some time now. Cuban jokingly said “Bloggers aren’t very good general managers,” as many Maverick blogs, have campaigned to begin the rebuilding process without Dirk.

The Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors are believed to be the front runners in the Shawn Marion sweepstakes. Toronto reportedly would send Jermaine O’ Neal and Jamario Moon to Miami for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks. The Kings have offered center Brad Miller along with forward Kenny Thomas to South Beach for Marion and another player.

The Heat prefer the Raptors deal, and that has made Sacramento begin to look for other potential suitors for their big men, according to the Sacramento Bee.
