Shocker in London

Barcelona and Messi lost to Chelsea 1-0 on Wednesday in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal.

Messi was far from his best. Uncharacteristically, he lost possession to Frank Lampard in the midfield late in the first half and the move led directly to Chelsea's goal.

Real Fall in Bavaria

Real also lost the first leg of their Champions League semifinal, 2-1 to Bayern Munich.

Ronaldo set up Real's equalizer (scored by Mesut Özil) early in the second half before Mario Gomez scored the late, late winner for Bayern.

Real Top Barca

After their midweek disappointments, Messi and Ronaldo returned to league action for a top-of-the-table showdown.

Real visited Barca at the Camp Nou with a four-point lead atop La Liga. After scoring a 2-1 victory, Real now lead the table by seven points with four matches left.

Ronaldo scored the winner in the 73rd minute, latching onto Özil's angled pass before firing past Victor Valdes. His individual highlights are here.
