Morning MLB Links: No Strasburg-Kershaw, the Perfect Game Club and Byrd Beaning
Good morning! Here are some articles we think are worth reading as you settle in for your day.
• Not only did rain cancel three games in the majors on Sunday, but the postponements will also cost us a great pitching matchup late this week.
As Amanda Comak explains, Washington Nationals manager Davey Johnson will push his starting rotation back a day after Sunday's rainout. That means Stephen Strasburg won't oppose the Los Angeles Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw on Friday.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
• Miami Marlins pitcher Mark Buehrle sent Philip Humber a text on Saturday night, welcoming his former Chicago White Sox teammate to the perfect game club. Buehrle threw a perfecto himself in 2009, making him and Humber two of the three pitchers who achieved the feat for the White Sox.
• Seattle Mariners shortstop Brendan Ryan would prefer not to talk about the check swing that clinched Humber's perfect game on Saturday. But he couldn't help admit that he thought that last pitch was ball four (via CBSSports.com).
• With Marlon Byrd being traded from the Chicago Cubs to the Boston Red Sox, does he have any issues with Alfredo Aceves, who hit him in the face with a pitch last May?
Another question is whether or not Byrd might have some flashbacks of the incident when he steps into the batter's box at Fenway Park.
• Back to Humber's perfect game, should the guy who threw out the game's first pitch get any credit? Hey, why not? How many people get to say they were part of such an event?
• Do the Tampa Bay Rays really have a picture of Luke Scott as Wolverine in their dugout? Yes, indeed. 30FPS got a screen cap from a recent Rays telecast, and there's Scott flashing his claws. This could result in a "Baseball Players as X-Men Characters" post, if it hasn't been done already.
• Staying on the superhero theme, was St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday wearing Spider-Man's first mask for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh or was the poor guy just cold? Derrick Goold posted a picture of the masked man on Twitter. Bonesaw is ready for you, Holliday.
