WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar, CM Punk and Monday's Top WWE News
So it has come to this. After three weeks of build, a spectacular interview segment last week and John Cena being kicked to the curb in favor of Brock Lesnar, the Raw go-home show for Extreme Rules takes place tonight.
It is always interesting to look at where WWE is going in the first show after WrestleMania. While I don't think there is a chance this show does significant business, if Lesnar and Cena do something spectacular tonight it could be one of the bigger B-shows in a long time.
Given what WWE is hoping for with Lesnar, this show has to be big. We shall see what happens with it in the future.

For now, let's take a look at all the latest backstage happenings to get us ready for Raw and the final build to Extreme Rules.
BROCK LESNAR KNOWS PAUL HEYMAN IS AWESOME
Say what you want about Paul Heyman's business acumen, but as far as booking talent goes, there may be no one better to come along in the last 20 years. Heyman, who knows Lesnar extremely well, has been helping him work on promos for his second WWE tenure.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Should WWE bring back Paul Heyman?
Our Take: Hell yeah! Vince and Stephanie McMahon need to park their pride at the door—which is a laughable line for so many reasons—but Heyman knows talent far better than either one of them do at this stage of the game.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5
One big reason that wrestling has lost its edge is because people like Paul Heyman aren't actively involved in the product. He has a great mind for the sport, understanding what performers need to do in order to reach their full potential.

CM PUNK READY TO SHOWCASE HIS SINGING ABILITY
In addition to being the WWE champion and "voice of the voiceless," CM Punk is going to moonlight as a contestant on American Idol, at least on May 8. That is when the Straight Edge Superstar will be singing at Wrigley Field for his beloved Chicago Cubs.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will the announcers actually learn about him now?
Our Take: After Money In the Bank last July, Punk took a week off and showed up at a Cubs game. The announcers were talking about how he didn't look like a heavyweight champion because he was so little. They better be prepared this time, or Punk will unleash a pipebomb.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Singing Superstars
There have been a few wrestlers that have dabbled in singing—or, in the case of Randy Savage, rapping—with mixed results. Punk doesn't come off as someone who will be a good singer, but that could just be a ruse.

DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE WANTS YOU TO KNOW HOW GREAT HE WAS
Far be it from me to discredit Diamond Dallas Page, who was a big star in the heyday of WCW, but his claims about why he should be in the WWE Hall of Fame are a little out there. Among other things, he claimed to have been more over than anyone back in the '90s.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is DDP going into the WWE Hall of Fame?
Our Take: The whole thing is obviously subjective, but there are a few scenarios where he could go in. If WWE was running a WrestleMania around WCW territory, like it did in 2011, that would make sense.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Perfect Smiles
There are a lot of great reasons for DDP to list in order to get into the WWE Hall of Fame, but pointing out that he was one of the top 5 wrestlers in the Pro Wrestling Illustrated poll is not one of them.

CHRISTIAN REALLY BACK THIS TIME, PROBABLY
In what could only be described as a welcome shot in the arm to the SmackDown roster, Christian is expected to be back on television this Tuesday. He worked European house shows over the weekend, which would indicate a full return to health.
Question on Everybody's Mind: What should we expect from Christian?
Our Take: Considering he is returning just one week before a pay-per-view, probably not a lot right away. At the very least, he will provide us with good television matches and make it back to the mid-card at Over The Limit.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Killswitches Engaged
Despite the fact that Christian is coming back, WWE has done nothing to really create any kind of stir for him. Sure, he isn't going to move the needle that much, if at all, but you would think WWE would want to market something around him.
