"What will HBK do?"
However I think I've pondered on those for quite some time and while I searched for something new to speculate about I did come across something.
"Who will eliminate the Undertaker?"
I say this because I think we all can agree that he isn't going to win the Rumble. I might be making this more than it is but can Taker's eliminator be relevant at all? Could the very man who eliminates him tonight be the same man staring him down before the bell in Houston on April 5th? Even though after the Rumble WWE has a good amount of time to build up a story for the Deadman—it is about two months I suppose, including a pit stop at No Way Out—WWE could always start early on the other hand....as early as the Rumble, maybe?
What if WWE has already started it. I may be going out on a limb here—a huge limb—but what if its none other than the Gold Standard himself Shelton Benjamin.
Before you start getting ready to blast me to pieces let me further elaborate on this. Call me crazy, but Taker has fought him on back to back weeks on Smackdown. I don't believe he can be the man to face Taker without a push and some more development. Personally I would like to see Jericho face Taker at WM25.
Shelton has had some good matches with Taker and will be in the Rumble with the Deadman. So would you be surprised if Benjamin eliminated him? Or better yet, would you be surprised if a rivalry was born between these two?
Well even though I'm going on a limb, Shelton is arguably the most athletically gifted wrestler today. As much as I love Orton, I believe Shelton is more flexible and gets more hang time. He could use a brush up or two on his gimmick and mic skills but I believe Shelton can escape the mid cards. He needs to be over with fans whether its getting heat or being cheered.
If worked on diligently—very diligently—Shelton could be the man to not only possibly eliminate Taker from the Rumble, but face him at WM25. As I stated earlier I would love Jericho to be the guy but I have to think outside the box—without going too far.
