Wildly Speculative Utah Jazz Rumor From Dubious Sources: CONFIRMED

J. Michael MorrisJan 24, 2009

So I think B/R has a new marketing angle for at least one of it's writers.

A certain J.Michael Morris (if that is his real name) wrote an article on December 20th of 2008 that cited a very questionable source on some breaking news.

This rumor was confirmed last night by multiple media sources and ran on the bottom of the screen scroll for several hours on ESPNews, as if we didn't already know.

Well, when I say we, I mean me and exactly 344 other people who read about it on the hottest on-line resource for wild speculation and occasional third-hand breaking news, Bleacher Report, OVER A MONTH AGO.

I am not one to toot my own horn, and least not audibly in mixed company, but...wow. I scooped all local news outlets and ESPN by over a month. Here are some of the pathetic attempts at breaking news journalism from yesterday.

You'll have to read the other article to find out the topic because I think that my writing is barely sub-par by journalist standards and would like more of you to tell me so. In golf sub-par is better than par.

I know only half of what my not at all made up string of sources told me has actually been confirmed, but I would say that Bubba has just gained some credibility in the world of unverifiable rumor spreading.

If the leg amputation part, which was the most absurd to me originally, has been confirmed, which it has, can selling the franchise be far behind?

Stay tuned for updates because Saturday night is poker night, unless you want to get your news a month later from ESPN or the Tribune companies.
