Dave's College Basketball Picks, Jan. 24: Kansas State at Colorado
Someone ask Big Ben if there are ties in college basketball. If there were, this one would be a candidate.
Kansas State has lost its four conference games by an average of 16 points. The top three scorers for the Wildcats are shooting a pitiful 31 percent in conference play. After being embarrassed at home by Baylor, the Purple faithful are starting to come around to the idea that they have a recruiter running the team and not a coach.
Colorado runs out three freshman starters and overall is very young and taking their lumps. Revenge may come in several years for these Buffalo’s, but there is little to cheer about this year.

Kansas State is 3-7-1 ATS, including 1-3-1 on the road
Kansas State is 7-3 ATS against Colorado in their last 10 meetings
Colorado is 5-7-1 ATS, including 3-6 at home
I’m not sure why I find this funny, but Colorado is calling this game a "White Out," with the fans all wearing white (first 1,000 get a free shirt). I don’t have any stats on this, but as I remember them, these whiteout/blackout promos almost never work out well.
Based on the promotion alone, I really want to pick against Colorado. Personally, it would take more than a free t-shirt to get me to go to this one. I think KSU is a better team, but a road win in the Big 12 is never easy. I’ve seen nothing that shows they are up to the task.
