SEC Football Top 150 Players: No. 135, Arceto Clark, Mississippi State WR
Starting April 2, the SEC Blog will be counting down the top 150 players for 2012 in the SEC.
No. 135: Arceto Clark, No. 19, Wide Receiver, Mississippi State
2011 Stats: 30 catches for 442 yards and four touchdowns
Strengths
Clark had a very solid season last season, and returns in 2012 as Mississippi State's leading returning receiver. At 5'11", 180, the former defensive back isn't the tallest target in the SEC, but his time on the defensive side of the ball has taught him to be more physical, according to Brad Locke of the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal.
Weaknesses
He doesn't get the publicity that his teammate Chad Bumphis gets, and Dan Mullen's game of musical quarterbacks last season never got the offense clicking. Plus, Mullen's offense is designed to spread the ball around, which means that there won't be one star in the receiving corps.
2012 Prediction
A healthy Tyler Russell at quarterback should translate to a solid senior season for Clark. Don't be surprised to see him lead the Bulldogs in receiving again, and go north of 600 receiving yards in the process.
