Madden 2013: Why Cam Newton Is Best Choice to Grace Cover
The 2013 Madden cover vote is now a four-athlete race between Aaron Rodgers, Calvin Johnson, Patrick Willis and Cam Newton.
It’s clear that the best choice to win the prestigious cover spot is none other than Newton, the sensational Carolina Panthers quarterback.
In order for the record-breaking rookie to get on the front of millions of copies of EA Sports’ extremely popular game, he needs to beat out Willis and then the winner of Rodgers vs. Johnson in ESPN’s bracket challenge.
Fans have until April 18 to vote for him in the semifinals and then hopefully get a chance to vote him onto the cover in the finals—which polling closes for on April 25.
After Newton threw for 4,051 yards, 21 touchdowns and 17 interceptions and ran for another 706 yards and 14 TDs (and ran away with the Rookie of the Year award), the Auburn product makes a perfect pick to represent the NFL in the year 2013 and beyond.
He’s redefining the way quarterback is being played and showing that players with extreme athleticism coupled with immense arm strength are the future at the position.
Newton is also one of the funner players in the game to control.
When playing as Carolina, the user can do a number of awesome and unique things with Cam.
They can opt to bomb it to Steve Smith with his incredible arm strength, use his speed and agility to rip off a big gain on the ground or his raw strength to power through the middle and pick up a first.
Go vote for Newton now and give the superstar the recognition he deserves.
