WWE Rumors: Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Monday's Top WWE News

Adam WellsJun 5, 2018

WWE feels very much like the calm before the storm this week. Monday Night Raw from England is going to be an interesting show, with presumably no Brock Lesnar live and the Chris Jericho-CM Punk feud likely to escalate.

It should have a subdued feeling to it, even though the only thing that has felt really intense the last two weeks is the Lesnar-John Cena stuff.

Usually when WWE takes its act overseas, something good happens. Usually the wrestling is given a higher priority than anything else, so we should at least be on the lookout for exciting matches.

In the meantime, here is the latest and greatest news from behind the scenes in WWE to tide you over until Raw kicks off.

UNDERTAKER NOT RETIRED, ACCORDING TO JIM ROSS

Even though we all expect Undertaker to work more WrestleMania matches, there is always the off chance that we have seen the end of the Dead Man. But don't try telling that to Jim Ross, who believes that if 'Taker were done, WWE would have made a huge deal out of it.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Will WWE make a big deal out of 'Taker's retirement?

Our Take: Of all the big-name performers who will eventually retire, Undertaker's will be the most interesting. He is notorious for staying in character whenever there is a chance he is on camera, so what will the end be like?

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Retirement Ceremonies

There is no doubt that Undertaker deserves a huge send-off when he does eventually go. He has had the single most successful gimmick in the history of WWE. We can forget about the American Bad A** years.

BROCK LESNAR TO MAKE AN APPEARANCE ON RAW?

In the intro we talked about Lesnar likely not making an appearance on Raw because he isn't traveling that far for WWE. Still, WWE isn't giving up hope. He has been advertised for the show tonight, though that can mean a number of things.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Is WWE going to get Lesnar overseas?

Our Take: The odds of Lesnar actually showing up live in London tonight are slim to none. He has a gravy deal with the company, shows up basically whenever he wants and does his thing. It would likely take a lot more money to get him going this far for a one-off appearance.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Overseas Tours

Give WWE credit, they are trying to get Lesnar on every show possible. That may not be the best strategy since he is a novelty act, but the company feels a need to get its money's worth right away, I guess.

WWE INTERESTED IN MATT MORGAN, ACCORDING TO MATT MORGAN

In the pantheon of WWE performers who have been released, Matt Morgan would be right near the bottom, somewhere above the Gobbledy Gooker and The Goon. He has made a nice career for himself in TNA, but he said in an interview over the weekend that WWE has shown interest in his services.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Does WWE need someone like Morgan?

Our Take: Absolutely not. All due respect to Morgan as a wrestler, but he is exactly the same kind of performer that WWE always hires. He is a big man with little in-ring skill and looks a bit like a menacing monster.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Wrestlers WWE Needs to Avoid

Morgan had a nice run in TNA not too long ago, thanks in large part to a recommendation from Hulk Hogan. If there is one person I don't want advocating performers, it would be Hogan. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake is still living off the money he made from WCW thanks to Hogan.

ERIC BISCHOFF STILL HATES BRET HART FOR RUINING WCW

Bret Hart is outspoken about his feelings on the business today. One name that always gets his dander up is Eric Bischoff. Never one to let a challenge go by, Bischoff responded to Hart on Twitter with this gem:

"

@MichaelLloyd13 Another sad, bitter person. Too many of them in this business.

"
"— Eric Bischoff (@EBischoff) April 11, 2012"

Question on Everybody's Mind: Does Bischoff really know anything about the business?

Our Take: No, he doesn't actually know anything. He is a terrific television personality because he has charisma. As far as being in charge of a company, nothing he does works. It has been proven time and again.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Personal Rivalries

Wrestling is a sport built on egos and personalities. Hart has a bit of an ego, which helped make him one of the best performers of the last 25 years. Bischoff has an ego the size of Texas, but no long-sustained success to brag about.
