SEC Football Top 150 Players: No. 137, Kenny Bell, Alabama WR
Starting April 2, the SEC Blog will be counting down the top 150 players for 2012 in the SEC.
No. 137: Kenny Bell, No. 7, Wide Receiver, Alabama
2011 Stats: 17 catches for 255 yards and two touchdowns.
Strengths
Bell is Alabama's leading returning receiver, after gaining 255 receiving yards last season for the Crimson Tide. Tide coaches are high on the 6'1", 180-pound junior, and think that he could emerge to become Alabama's primary deep threat in 2012.
Weaknesses
The unknown. Bell hasn't had to be a No. 1 receiver at Alabama, but now the pressure is on. He's going to get some help. A.J. McCarron proved late in the season that he doesn't have to just be a caretaker of the Alabama offense, and Bell is going to be a big part of McCarron's evolution. We will know more about Bell after a few games.
2012 Prediction
Alabama's foundation, even if McCarron proves to be a top-tier quarterback, will always be the running game. Bell will be a big enough threat to make the Alabama offense click.
