SEC Football Top 150 Players: No. 138, Andre Debose, Florida WR
Starting April 2, the SEC Blog will be counting down the top 150 players for 2012 in the SEC.
No. 138: Andre Debose, No. 4, Wide Receiver, Florida
2011 Stats: 16 catches for 432 yards and four touchdowns, 19 kick returns for 495 yards and one touchdown.
Strengths
Debose is one of the most electric players in the SEC. The 5'11", 186-pounder from Sanford, Fla. is a threat that led the Gators in receiving last season, in an offense that was erratic all season. He's the kind of player that can do a little bit of everything, and can take it to the house from anywhere on the field.
Weaknesses
He's struggled with injuries at times during his career in Gainesville, and the revolving door of coaches hasn't helped matters. He was inconsistent this spring, and the switch to new offensive coordinator Brent Pease means that he will have to go win the job again.
2012 Prediction
The switch to wide receivers coach Aubrey Hill last season has helped Debose, and Pease's offense will certainly lend itself to more big plays—which is where Debose thrives. He will be a big part of Florida's offense because of his versatility.
