Ryan RudnanskyJun 7, 2018

Mike Brown showed up for the Los Angeles Lakers' game against the Denver Nuggets on Friday, but reportedly left before the game due to personal reasons at home, according to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times.

UPDATE: Saturday, April 14 at 4:38 p.m. ET

According to Mike Trudell, coach Brown was back with the team today at the shootaround.

The Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets on Friday night 103-97 at the Staples Center without Brown.

Bresnahan tweeted on Friday:

"

Mike Brown was here an hour ago for pre-game briefing w/ media but left since then for personal reasons at home. John Kuester coaching now.

The Lakers should lock up a high seed in the Western Conference this season, but they are just one game ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers for the Pacific Division title. They certainly would prefer Brown to be on the court.

The good news: The Lakers jumped off to a fast start against the Nuggets on Friday, outscoring them, 30-19, in the first quarter.
