Arsenal Transfer Rumours: Arsene Wenger Looks to Ajax's Eriksen and Vertonghen
A report on Caught Offside today is linking Arsenal with a double raid of Dutch giants Ajax.
The players in question are Belgian international defender Jan Vertonghen and highly-rated attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Eriksen has been linked with Europe's top clubs for a long time now, and must only be a matter of time before making a move to one of them.

The Dane never looks rushed on the ball and is one of those players who seems to have all the time in the world.
When it comes to playing the final ball, Eriksen has the goods. He has a superb range of passes and can deliver the killer ball to the front men when needed.
With a tally of six goals in 18 games for Ajax this season, Eriksen also provides a goal threat from midfield that any team would be happy with.
A potential problem for Eriksen would be the physicality of the Premier League. He's a small player and could find himself being knocked around against a physical team like Stoke or Blackburn
Sir Alex Ferguson has publicly stated that Manchester United are watching Eriksen, and a host of teams, including AC Milan and Liverpool, are reportedly interested.
With so many teams interested, signing Eriksen would be something of a coup for Wenger, who is constantly accused of failing to sign the players he should.
With a transfer fee likely to be close to £20 million, it will go against the grain for Arsene to shell out so much, but if Eriksen can help break the teams trophy-less run, it would surely be worth it.
While Eriksen is a flair player who will catch the eyes of the fans, Wenger will be hoping that Ajax captain Jan Vertonghen can finally solve the centre-back problems that have plagued the side for so long.
When German international Per Mertesacker signed last year, it looked as though these problems may be over, but a shaky start followed by an unfortunate ankle injury just as he was adjusting to the league have hampered his start at the club.
Vertonghen is a centre-back slightly in the mold of Gerard Pique, comfortable breaking from defence and is technically gifted enough to do so.
However, this can leave a defence open to being counter attacked if Vertonghen is out of position.
In contrast to Mertesacker, Vertonghen is very quick. Coupled with his ability to read the game, the centre-back should be a great asset to the team should he be brought in.
Vertonghen brings the added bonus of versatility. He can slot into the midfield if needed and has also filled in at left-back for Ajax.
If the rumours turn out to be true and Wenger can secure Eriksen and Vertonghen, Arsenal's long wait for silverware could be coming to an end.
Arsenal fans, would you be happy seeing these players at the Emirates next season?
