SEC Football: Tweets of the Week, Bobby Petrino Edition
Every Friday on the SEC Blog, we will feature the tweets of the week from SEC players, coaches and media personalities.
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've heard by now that Arkansas fired head coach Bobby Petrino after it was discovered that Petrino lied to his athletic director Jeff Long and hired Jessica Dorrell, with whom he had a previous relationship with.
Don't tell that to Arkansas wide receiver Cobi Hamilton though. He's just happy to be a Razorback.
"It's a Great Day to be a Razorback...#LetsGoHogs 🐗❤
— Cobi Hamilton (@CobiHam11) April 11, 2012"
That's the right attitude. Players have no control over this, so rolling with the punches is just a fact of life right now for the players on the Arkansas roster.
Arkansas did another document dump on Thursday night, which included specific text messages sent from Bobby Petrino after his motorcycle crash. ArkansasSports360's Chris Bahn weeded through the text messages and had this observation.
"Also of note: Petrino was very fond of doubling up on punctuation. Lots of !!! and ???
— Chris Bahn (@cbahn) April 13, 2012"
Andrew Gribble, Alabama beat writer for AL.com, The Birmingham News, The Huntsville Times and the Mobile Press-Register, chimed in with his thoughts.
"RE Petrino texts: I will take away my kids' phones if their texts to me include consecutive question marks and exclamation points.
— Andrew Gribble (@Andrew_Gribble) April 13, 2012"
Gribble is right. That's just bad form, Bobby.
Auburn tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen is celebrating Bubba Watson's win at The Masters in his own way.
"Officially growing my BUBBA bangs out bc that win was American as all get out.
— Philip Lutzenkirchen (@lutzenkirchen) April 9, 2012"
All Lutzenkirchen needs to do now is grab some teammates and make a sequel to Watson's Golf Boys video.
