WWE Rumors: Triple H, John Cena, Steve Austin and Friday's Top WWE News

Adam WellsJun 7, 2018

Looking at where WWE is heading into Raw this Monday, the show is going to have a very different vibe. Whether that is good or bad remains to be seen, but it will be interesting to see how things are handled.

Since the show is being taped in England, there will be no Brock Lesnar. It's possible that WWE does some taped vignette with him, though that doesn't really do much to advance the story between him and Cena.

Usually WWE tries to put on a good wrestling show in England, so hopefully that will be the case on Monday.

In the meantime, here is the latest news and notes from the wacky world of professional wrestling to get you through the weekend.

TRIPLE H NOT COMPLETELY DONE WRESTLING

Despite the End of an Era match at WrestleMania, Triple H is not completely done in a WWE ring. He will never be a full-time performer again, but he is reportedly going to be doing a few matches here and there.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Who is out there for Triple H to wrestle?

Our Take: Given the current talent pool, the only name on the roster that might be able to sell some buys with him is Brock Lesnar. There's nothing out there about those two working together, but if WWE gets desperate enough, surely something can be planned.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Company Men

I am a big proponent of wrestlers walking away after having a great match on the big stage, when they are older and performing part-time, of course. Triple H just had one of the best matches of his career, so is there any possible way he is going to top himself?

NFL WRITER MAKES IT EVEN HARDER TO ROOT FOR JOHN CENA

John Cena and Tim Tebow would appear to have a lot in common, at least on camera. They are two of the biggest stars in their respective sport, but they are also as polarizing as they are popular. So it makes sense that an NFL.com writer would compare them in 18 different categories only to have it be a 9-9 draw.

Question on Everybody's Mind: So Cena and Tebow are basically twins, right?

Our Take: It certainly appears that way. Even when you look at them, you can see similar physical features: Square head, always smiling for no apparent reason, haircuts. All we need is WWE to figure out a way to get Tebow on-screen with Cena to prove they were switched at birth.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Long-Lost Brothers

Even if Cena and Tebow aren't directly related, their on-camera personalities would certainly make you do a double-take. They are both very awkward on the field or in the ring, yet they always defy the odds to win...albeit one does it in a fixed sport.

TOUGH ENOUGH CONTESTANT CALLS OUT STEVE AUSTIN

Proving that very little good can come from making a creepy video alone in the dark, A.J. Kirsch, who was on the most recent season of Tough Enough, decided to call out Steve Austin and Bill DeMott in a strange video. Never one to miss a challenge, Austin responded on Twitter

"

@AJKirsch @BillDeMott @CACReunion damn right you will. I may turn your little lights out at the event. #ToughEnough

"
"— Steve Austin (@steveaustinBSR) April 10, 2012"

Question on Everybody's Mind: Is Austin teasing a match?

Our Take: The Cauliflower Alley Club does feature some wrestling matches. I find it hard to believe Austin would work a full match with Kirsch, but perhaps he has the itch to get back in there again.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 YouTube Challenges

The funny thing about the video is, it is actually a lot more effective than most of the challenges we see from mid-card workers in WWE. Usually they are just thrown into a match to fill out the card.

DANIEL BRYAN LOVES THE WRESTLEMANIA BACKLASH

While "Yes" has been a thorn in Vince McMahon's side for the last two weeks, it turns out that Daniel Bryan told GQ magazine he is really excited to hear the people getting so vocal in support of the under-utilized wrestler.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Will the chants get Bryan a nice push?

Our Take: Considering McMahon didn't have Bryan appearing on Raw this week, it would appear that this is yet another case where the fans support someone and McMahon has to keep him down because he doesn't get it.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Vegan Wrestlers

Bryan may not be everyone's cup of tea, but when he is in the ring and showing off his ability, it is hard not to root for him to be a success in WWE. Let's just hope that he is able to do something before it is too late.
