Floyd Mayweather: The Biggest Boxing Attraction!

Many boxers have come and gone, and each generation will have it's PPV top drawers, and for this generation, Floyd Mayweather has arguably been the top attraction for boxing fans, and even the non-boxing fans.

One of the main reasons for this is that he always creates a story, which will be whipped up through the media. Whenever he is paired up with an opponent, he always proceeds to unleash some sort of drama that not only fires up his opponents to prove him wrong, but will draw the curious fans and others to keen on the outcome of it all.

He always embarks on some diabolical insults on his opponents, who have to either do the same or, as in the case of Oscar and Hatton, just soak it all up and hope to avenge it within the square ring. This scenario that he creates is like a soap opera, a boxing story that anyone will always want to the conclusion of. The thinking of the non-boxing fan would be "...Can this guy do this and get away with it...?"

The other factor is his drawing power amongst the boxing fans. Many want to watch his awesome skills on display each time he boxes. Well, there have been several so-called pound for pound champs, but Mayweather is arguably the most controversial and most exciting!! The man can fight both coming forwards and backwards. Though many would want to see him brawling like the popular brawlers, he knows that at the end of the day he has to get his result, and most importantly, minimize the damage to his body, which brawlers can't do. I have yet to see a boxer who can skillfully protect his chin as well as Mayweather can.

Fans keep hoping that some new talent will come up and outdo "money" in this trade; well, one name after the other has always been fronted as being THE man to beat Mayweather. All the while they just want to see Mayweather's skills on display against a seemingly difficult opponent. Hatton, like many before him, looked so good to do this on paper...'til he got knocked out. Fans will always be salivating at the prospect of Mayweather showing his skills and will always pay for it.

Mayweather's records speak for themselves. Many would have thought that Oscar was the main draw in their fight, but how about the Hatton fight? The only common thing in those two box office hits is one Floyd Mayweather, the biggest attraction in boxing that people will pay to watch.

No wonder he got plenty of millions from WWE to show off a bit of those skills!!
