2012 Possible Atlanta Falcons Draft Pick Profile: WR Ryan Broyles
With the Falcons having just Harry Douglas, Roddy White and Julio Jones as players with any experience on offense at receiver, there is a definite need there. Ryan Broyles has had a hugely productive career and could compete for a role in the offense at slot or return man his rookie year.

Scouting Report
Strengths
Broyles creates massive separation and does well in space and with the ball in his hand. He catches the ball away from his body normally with his fingers and fingertips. He is heavily used in screens and can break a tackle if needed.
He does well finding soft spots in zone coverage and sitting in them. He also fights for every year once he is about to get tackled. He has great sideline awareness and body and always knows where the first-down marker is.
Weaknesses
Broyles is not much of a deep threat and won’t blow the top off of a defense. He also doesn’t use his body to box out opposing defenders. He has some injury concerns with his recent ACL tear, and there are some who wonder if he can return to his former potential first-round form.
Overview
All around, Broyles is an excellent wide receiver and will play well in a Wes Welker-type role as a possession slot receiver. He is quick in and out of his breaks and can definitely make guys miss to create a lot of yards after catch.
Broyles is an ideal Dimitroff character selection. He’s a four-year starter and a team captain with an extremely productive NCAA career as a wide receiver. He’s easily the most polished receiver in this class, and prior to injury, could have gone first round.
How He Would Fit into the Falcons' Plans
Broyles would come right in and be the No. 4 wide receiver. His overall abilities give him the long-term ability to eventually be a starter, and he could very easily compete at either punt or kick returner his rookie year.
