Rob Gronkowski Video: Watch Pats TE Spike Megatron to Sway Madden 13 Cover Votes

Apparently, Rob Gronkowski really wants to be on the cover of Madden NFL 13 so badly that he Gronk-spiked a Megatron action figure.

Okay, we may need to provide some context here.

Gronkowski is currently facing off against Calvin Johnson, aka Megatron, in the Madden Cover vote, where fans can vote on who the next player to appear on the video game will be.

And it would seem Gronk really, really wants to win.

I'm not sure if this entertaining (read: bizarre) video will push him over the top, but it has revealed a few interesting bits of information. I learned that:

• Michael Bay sucks, because this 58-second video was way better than any of his Transformers movies.
• As YouTube commenter goody71 noted, "We should all chip in and get GRONK some furniture." And maybe a nice, framed picture to go alongside his own Fathead.
• Gronk would be really annoying to work out with.

But seriously, he really is the perfect candidate for the cover of Madden. He had a season for the record books last year, setting an NFL record for tight ends with his 17 receiving touchdowns. Add on 90 receptions for 1,327 yards and another rushing touchdown, and you've got yourself one hell of a year.

Plus, he's a young, fun-loving guy you could see yourself having a few beers with and playing the game with. He just seems like that sort of dude.

So he gets my vote. Even if this video was strange as hell.
