The Potential for Greatness: Buckeyes Basketball

It's been two years since the Buckeyes made it all the way to the national championship. Currently, they have only one player that saw the court during that run. David Lighty is now the leader for this Ohio State team, and with him on the court, they were undefeated. Since he got injured they have been 4-4.

I think that once Lighty comes back they will go on a very strong run. This is a very young team with no seniors on it. I think for all young players they are doing very well. They've beaten Miami, Notre Dame, and Butler all in a row. Right now they're struggling, but that is without team leader David Lighty.

I think the Big Ten in general has stepped their game up. If Ohio State gets it together I think they cannot only make it to the tournament, but make it through a couple rounds.

But what lies ahead for the Buckeyes? The biggest question is can they keep this young team together instead of people leaving for the draft. If the young players don't get greedy and Thad Matta can have a couple more great recruits, I think this team is a potential final four team with in the next couple years.
