RAW Superstar To Win the Royal Rumble
For the past couple of days I've been reading article after article about who's going to win the 2009 Royal Rumble. I continue to hear predictions about SmackDown and ECW superstars winning the Royal Rumble and going to Wrestlemania to go against this person and that.
You're all wrong.
If you recieve WWE Magazine or you do your research on-line you'd know that at the 2009 No Way Out, a SmackDown and most likely ECW elimination chamber is going to take place.

The SmackDown elimination chamber will contain 6 of SD's top superstars such as: Jeff Hardy, Edge, Triple H, Big Show, Undertaker and Vladimir Kozlov.
Now, assuming this is a title match and not a No. 1 contenders match you must also assume must none of these superstars are going to be the Royal Rumble winner seeing as how you have the two opponents for the WWE championship at The Royal Rumble pay-per-view participating in this match.
Now you could be saying 'Well what about ECW ?' But let's be serious.
This leads me to believe the only possible contenders to win the Royal Rumble match are the RAW superstars.
Now in past years usually a week before the Royal Rumble the WWE, in a way, foreshadow the top picks to win the big match. For example the year Rey Mysterio won (If you can remember back to that horrible time in WWE history), the top pick on Raw was Shawn Micheals and on SD it was Rey Mysterio.
This year is no different.
Only focusing on the RAW brand I think we can all agree who stole the show. His name: Randy Orton. It does seem odd that after starting him in a huge story, like attacking Vince McMahon, the WWE would have him win the Royal Rumble only one week later, but anything can happen, I suppose.
If this is true, I see a humongous storyline leading up to Wrestlemania 25, from the obvious beginning of a feud between Orton and the McMahons and a possible heel to face change. Anything is possible. And it definitely goes to show how much faith the WWE has put into Randy. Will the pressure get to him?
Runners up are the obvious Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels, but I just can't see another Jericho vs Cena (nor do I want to see any match with Cena).
I've heard one story with JBL defeating Cena and Michaels going on to win the Rumble, which is interesting, but I don't believe WWE want Michaels as champion, as he would probably win if they actually ever did that match as a main event at WM 25.
My pick is Randy Orton. One, because it's probable. And two, because he's simply awesome.
