Philadelphia Eagles: Injury Update on Special Teams Ace Colt Anderson

Brian TallonJun 7, 2018

Special teams ace Colt Anderson stopped by Philly Sports Nut Radio today to update Philadelphia Eagles fans on his injury.  As you may recall, Colt injured his ACL when the Eagles took on the Seahawks in a late-season loss.

Anderson finished the season second in "production points", a system used to rank special teams players.  This happened despite Anderson's playing only 12 games before his injury.

Anderson has been in Philadelphia doing a rehab stint and hopes to be 100 percent by the time training camp starts. Colt was asked specifically what he was working on.  Colt said that Rich Burkholder, head athletic trainer for the Eagles, has him working on different exercises at each workout.  Burkholder changes up the drills to keep Colt working on different aspects of his recovery.

Colt was also asked about the Eagles' upcoming draft prospects.  He feels that the Eagles will likely pick the best player available on the board, regardless of the position.  This has been the Eagles' strategy many times in the past, and nobody would be surprised if this strategy were used again.

Colt Anderson was a big addition to the Eagles' special teams.  His loss to injury last year changed the production of the special teams, and everyone is looking forward to seeing Colt back in action.
