Why No One Deserves a Super Bowl Ring More Than Larry Fitzgerald

Larry Fitzgerald.

As an Eagles' fan, this guy broke my heart last week.

So you ask, why am I writing an article about him? Good question.

I like him. He actually reminds me of a football player. He's classy in every category that you can think of—he's humble and the best NFL receiver.

Fitzgerald reminds me of Hines Ward—except he's better.

He's played in the NFL for only five years. He's gone over 1,400 yards in three of those five years. He's caught 100+ balls in two different seasons—catching 96 this season.

This postseason, Fitzgerald has helped the sleeper Arizona Cardinals make it all the way to the Super Bowl. In the process, he has gone over 100 yards in all three playoff games.

Look at these stats:

ATL:  6 receptions, 101 yards, and 1 TD
CAR: 8 receptions, 166 yards, and 1 TD
PHI:  9 receptions, 152 yards, and 3 TDs

I'm speechless.

I thought the guy was an amazing college player, but he's an even better NFL player.

Fitzgerald plays with so much emotion and pride. How can you not like him? He never speaks out, never complains,  and is a role model for everyone.

Whether or not he lit up my Eagles is not a factor, Fitzgerald deserves more credit than anyone.

He's only 25 years old. I can't imagine what he has in store for us in the next couple of years. I'm already afraid. I hope the Eagles don't have to play the Cardinals ever again.

Worst Super Bowl team or not, Fitzgerald has taken this team to the top. He's opened up the field for Boldin and Breaston—both went over 1,000 yards.

Come Feb. 1, I'll be rooting for the Cardinals.

Do I think they'll win? No, I don't. But I didn't think they'd beat the Atlanta Falcons either or the Carolina Panthers. And, I definitely didn't think they'd beat my Philadelphia Eagles.

If anyone deserves a Super Bowl ring, it's this guy right here...Larry Fitzgerald.
