Tim Tebow: Off-Field Distractions Will Derail Career
Tim Tebow brings unique skills to the football field, but playing in New York could be the beginning of the end of his career.
New York is a great place for players to become superstars. There are millions of fans and plenty of endorsement deals ready for the taking. Unfortunately, Tebow is not ready for the limelight as a player.
If a player of Tebow's abilities came into the league without the accomplished college career and all of the attention, he would have a chance to become a great quarterback. This hypothetical quarterback with the same running skill, leadership and work-ethic would have stayed on the sidelines until he improved his skills as a passer.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Unfortunately, Tebow was never given that opportunity. Headlines followed him wherever he went, and the pressure to succeed followed as well. Now that he is on the New York Jets, those headlines will never go away.
In his short time with his new team, he continues to make news for activities he is doing off the field. He plans to give a highly-anticipated Easter Sermon in Texas this weekend. This is after turning down a free lap dance from a club in Manhattan. Tebow has also recently signed to a Hollywood agency, CAA.
The quarterback seems to embrace the attention from the tabloids, and it will lead to the downfall of his career. His failures will end up being more under a microscope, and there will be more criticism of every wrong move he makes on the field.
Distractions to the team will be worse than troublemakers like Terrell Owens. Like T.O., Tebow will soon find himself out of a job.
Once the novelty act runs out, there is not enough actual skill to support an NFL career.
