1. Mr. Kennedy vs. MVP
With a decent build and given the proper time, this match could be a great little opener to the biggest show of the year.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
- Matt Hardy
- Umaga
- CM Punk
- Shelton Benjamin
- Kofi Kingston
- Kane
- The Brian Kendrick
- R-Truth
This has the potential to steal the show, and it most likely will. This match will be stacked up and down and will not disappoint.
3. Jeff Hardy vs. Christian
This will be the first main event of the night and is also in contention for show-stealer. These two have great chemistry and play off each other brilliantly. I have no idea how good this feud will be, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.
4. ECW Championship: Jack Swagger (c) vs. Evan Bourne
The C brand's young guns goin' at it for the gold, or should i say silver. This should be really entertaining and the dark horse of the night.
5. Rey Mysterio (Stephanie McMahon’s Pick) vs. Chris Jericho (Shane McMahon’s Pick)
I can't really explain this one. I know that the McMahons will be feuding, but right now I don't know who will be the heel or the face, so...with last night's happening with Randy Orton, I'm goin' out on a limb, but I know it will deliver.
6. Diva Lumberjill Match: Beth Phoenix & Michelle McCool vs. Trish Stratus & Kelly Kelly
I could care less for this match, reagardless of who the participants are and who the Playboy cover girl is, all I know is that Santino Marella will provide the comedy.
7. WWE Championship: Edge (c) vs. Triple H
Edge will retain hopefully because I couldn't stand another Triple H title reign. The Big Show will interfere and have a decisive role in the match.
8. Interpromotional Match: Shawn Michaels (w/JBL) vs. The Undertaker
The best match of the night. The best build probably, too. Should be an instant classic and will leave all of us in awe. 17-0 for 'Taker, and HBK will stand up to JBL.
9. World Heavyweight Championship - John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton
Special Guest Referee: Stone Cold Steve Austin
Orton is the Rumble winner and Cena is the champ. A traditional build, but with another dimension added to it. Cena wins after a great match, Austin goes out in blaze of glory and stunners everyone.
It's too bad we'll never see Austin v. Hogan, but at this stage it would probably be a poorly worked match anyway.
2009 Hall of Fame

7. Bill Watts
8. Dory and Terry Funk
