Jessica Dorrell: Bobby Petrino's Alleged Mistress Is Hardly Innocent Victim

It appears Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino isn't going to be fortunate enough to escape his motorcycle crash with just a few bumps and bruises.

No, he didn't suffer any other physical injuries, but after covering up the details of who was riding on the bike with him, the Razorbacks have placed Petrino on administrative leave.

“I’m at the beginning of the review. I don’t know what I’m going to find,” Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long said. “I am disappointed that coach Petrino did not share with me, when he had the opportunity to, the full extent of the accident and who was involved.”

The person riding with Petrino was none other than 25-year-old Jessica Dorrell. She was on Petrino's staff, so at first glance the ride might have been about business.

However, after Petrino apologized for what he called a "previous inappropriate relationship" with Dorrell, Arkansas was forced to move in with swift punishment.

While Petrino deserves every punishment he will receive, let's not forget there was someone else involved here.

Petrino is the head of a historic SEC football program, so there's obviously going to be a lot of attention on him, and rightfully so, but Dorrell deserves the same kind of punishment. She may not be equal on the pay  or prestige scale, but she is equally wrong in what she allegedly did. 

She knew exactly what she was doing.

There's no way Dorrell is just some innocent bystander in all of this. She had to have known Petrino was already married and, if the alleged reports of their relationship are true, she had to know she was harming the Petrino's long-standing marriage.

What's more is that Dorrell is engaged herself. Not to some random guy who is always away on business or something either. She is engaged to Josh Morgan, who also works on campus as the director of swimming and diving operations.

You stay classy, Jessica Dorrell.

Not only did she allegedly have an affair with one of the most prominent figures on campus, but she also allegedly cheated on someone else involved with Arkansas athletics. 

It's not too clear what exactly Petrino or Dorrell were thinking, but I'm guessing it was close to nothing. Both of them deserve equal punishment for the pain they have inflicted on the truly innocent parties involved.
