The Ottawa Senators may be having a down season, but they are still 10-7-4 here at home and we feel they offer value as home underdogs when they host the Washington Capitals tonight.
Sure, the Caps have one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, but their defense is a real question mark on the road, where they are allowing a whopping 3.58 goals per game. Sure, they have been able to simply outscore most teams, but whenever their offense is kept in check, we simply do not trust their defense to hold down the fort, especially in this road chalk role.

Well, the Senators are allowing a very respectable 2.48 goals per game at home, and we do indeed look for them to slow the Caps down here, just as they did in the first meeting between these clubs in Ottawa this season, a 2-1 overtime win by the Sens. Also, do not sell the resurgent Ottawa offense short here either, as they have scored 12 goals in their last three games.
Given the defensive lapses the Capitals have had on the road this year, we would not be surprised if the Senators score four goals again tonight, and that is enough for us to go for the value at this price.
