Sigmund Bloom's 2012 NFL Draft Stock Watch: Stock Up/Down on Top TE Prospects
The order of top three TEs was up in the air going into the pre-draft season, but they could haven't separated more perfectly for draft rankings. Let's take a look at whose stock is up and whose is down among TE draft prospects.
Up
Michael Egnew, Missouri: The converted wide receiver bounced back after a tough Senior Bowl week to have one of the best combines of any tight end. Egnew was top five among tight ends in five combine drills and should be drafted early in the third day as a joker tight end.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Dwayne Allen, Clemson: Allen ran in the 4.7/4.8 range at the combine, but his game isn't predicated on speed. He is the best two-way TE in the draft, and he looked more than good enough catching the ball at his pro day to merit a second-round pick.
Coby Fleener, Stanford: Fleener's ankle injury kept him from working out at the combine, but he more than delivered at his pro day. Fleener's unofficial time in the high 4.4s makes him a perfect fit in high-octane NFL pass offenses that are focusing more on tight ends. He shouldn't make it out of the first round.
Down
George Bryan, NC State: Bryan has been working hard to lose about 20 pounds and drop from 22 to 15 percent body fat. But his 40 time at his pro was still slow by all standards, and you have to wonder why it took so long for him to be dedicated to conditioning. He'll be lucky to hear his name called on the third day.
Orson Charles, Georgia: Charles was in contention to be the top tight end drafted. But with his pro day 40 time being in the 4.7-4.9 range after he skipped the drill at combine, his stock started to tailspin and his March DUI arrest accelerated it. He may not be drafted until well into the second day or even the third.
