New Nike NFL Uniforms Are Overhyped and Nothing Special
Though Nike never especially hyped up their release of NFL licensed gear, the swoosh was supposed to rock the NFL world. However, anybody outside of Seattle should be simply unimpressed with what Nike has done to the uniforms.
Not that Nike ever promised to make major changes to the uniforms' appearance, but fans across the board believed that a Pro-Combat look would adorn the league with a fresh new look. All Nike did to uniforms other than Seattle's was simply switch logos with Reebok.
Give Nike some credit for making some pretty flashy gloves. Team logos on the gloves make each pair special and unique. The league has also cut down on its strict uniform policy, making flashier and bolder looks more accessible.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Seattle Seahawks took advantage of Nike's reign. They worked with the company to slightly adjust their logo and create some unique-looking jerseys. The colors, design and number appearance are completely different from anything seen in the NFL.
Still, NFL fans should be disappointed. And in Nike's defense, they never promised an evolution in the design of the jersey, only the material and makeup of it.
The league is very strict on its uniform policy. Fans got too excited when word got out that the world's most powerful sporting company was dressing the world's most powerful league. When the fake Nike NFL uniform pictures were leaked last year, fans had false expectations in their heads.
The only true difference in 2012 will be the logo and tag on NFL uniforms. When they were released, 31 franchises looked almost identical to what they had looked like in seasons past.
Most of the blame should be on the fans and the media. Though there is potential for major changes in the future, the NFL, not Nike, is ultimately responsible for any differences in the uniforms.
So if a logo change and fabric switch makes the fans happy and inspires them to spend money to upgrade their wardrobe, so be it.
But at least for 2012, fans should still be very content with their Reebok gear.
